Frank Sinatra- I've Got You Under My Skin (1953)

"I've Got You Under My Skin" is a song written by Cole Porter. Frank Sinatra performed the songs twice in studio recordings, both times conducted by Nelson Riddle.

While the song was written in 1936, and sang by various artists of that era, Frank Sinatra didn't sing the song until 1946 while performing "You'd Be So Easy to Love" on his early radio show. The first studio recording of "I've Got You Under My Skin" by Sinatra was in 1956 for the album Songs for Swingin' Lovers!. At the time, it became known as one of Sinatra's greatest and signature hits.

Several years after, Sinatra re-recorded this song in his 1963 Reprise album, Sinatra's Sinatra. This version of the song featured Dick Nash on the trombone for the solo at the end of the instrumental section of the song as Milt Bernhart, who performed the original, had to cancel for another session.[1] The Sinatra's Sinatra version of the song featured several lyrical changes as well. In addition, like other songs from the Sinatra's Sinatra LP, the song's tempo is slightly faster than the original rendition. Sinatra also scats minor changes with the song, such as using "damn" in the second verse, or some minor changes to the "Don't you know little fool" line of the song.

In 1993, Sinatra performed the song in his first Capitol album in 30 years. In Duets, an album in which Sinatra performed eleven classic hits such as this, "The Lady Is a Tramp," "Summer Wind," and "Theme from New York, New York" accompanied by several different artists. The Duets version of "I've Got You Under My Skin" featured U2's Bono, a fan of Sinatra's work and one of the several producers of Duets. This version of the song was later released as a B-side single of U2's "Stay (Faraway, So Close!)."

He also performed several live performances with this song.
