The Indian cobra a very poisonous snake has been popular with snake charmers for centuries. When they are disturbed the rear up and spread their ribs to form a hood. When they attack they make a quick stab and hold their prey until the poison takes effect.
The females lay 20 to 30 eggs and guards them until they hatch.
