Sayılabilir isimlerle kullanılır. Olumlu, olumsuz ve soru cümleleriyle kullanılabilir.

Many + a / an + Noun
(many a student, many an event, many a time…) şeklinde kullanılır ve “birçok” anlamına gelir.Anlam çoğul olmasına karşın tekil bir fiil alır.

•Many a person has been helped by therapy[A4]
•Many an hour was spent with friends[A5]

Much (Çok)
Sayılamayan isimlerle, soru ve olumsuz cümlelerde kullanılır.

•She didn’t drink much milk today. [A6]
•Did İlker have much money in his wallet? [A8]
•They will have much homework this weekend. [A9]

“Much ve many” tek başlarına isimin yerine zamir olarak kullanılabilir.

•Much has been said about the issue.[A10] (Much information)
•Many have believed him.[A11] (many people)
“many ve much” kelimeleri “of” ile birlikte kullanıldığında kendinden sonra gelen isim de (the, my, your, these, those) gibi belirleyici sözcükler kullanılmalıdır.
